Move BM to a new PC (Multiuser Network)

Root Folder
Run all windows updates on New PC.
 
No BidMagic or SQL installation needed. Registry will automatically update.
 
ON DONOR PC
On donor PC, first check and/or adjust Security settings on existing BidMagic folder to allow full control for:
All Application Packages
All Restricted Application Packages
Users
Trusted Installer.
On Configuration tab, set run as administrator
 
Save Settings.
 
Copy entire BidMagic folder to USB stick
Copy entire templates folder to USB stick.
eject USB stick.
 
ON NEW PC
Manually create a new folder C:\Program Files(x86) on new PC.
Insert USB stick.
 
Copy all CONTENTS of Bidmagic folder to new PC (Assures same version, settings, paths)
This should include the active connection string.
 
Verify client data loads and test templates  (default paths)
Verify the MS Office is installed on new PC.
